Ava joined Locksmith Animation as a General Assistant in 2025.She specialised in directing at UWE Bristol, co-founding a production house called Almighty Aphrodite Productions, which creates shorts influenced by mythology and folklore from a feminist perspective. She has a particular passion for Mary Shelley, with both her dissertation and degree film being inspired by Frankenstein.

After graduating, Ava worked with children in primary schools across Bristol and taught theatre and filmmaking at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, sparking her desire to work in children’s film.

With her enthusiasm for fantasy and children’s stories, Ava thoroughly enjoys working at Locksmith Animation. In her spare time, Ava enjoys attending choir, hosting games nights, playing D&D and cooking for her friends and family. Her love of hosting has now extended to Locksmith and she runs a monthly pub quiz with her fellow General Assistant, Jordan.
