Noëlle Raffaele

Director, The Lunar Chronicles

Noëlle Raffaele is a director and story artist in the animation industry with experience in both feature and television production. She grew up in New York City, where she graduated from The Cooper Union School of Art and got her start in motion graphics animation and concept art for live-action TV before relocating to Los Angeles. Once there, she contributed as an art director, character designer, and story artist to projects like The Legend of the Three Caballeros, (Disney+), Everstar (Amazon), Lizzie (Dreamworks TV), RadLands, Monster High (Mattel), Barbie: Super Sparkle (Mattel) and The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Noëlle ultimately focused her path on Story after joining Warner Bros. Feature Animation, where she worked on The Lego Ninjago Movie, Scoob! and Space Jam: A New Legacy, as well as various titles in Development. This led to her joining the first two seasons of Warner Bros. DC Superhero Girls, where she made her directorial debut on the premiere TV movie and 17 episodes. Since then, she has helmed a feature project in development at Dreamworks Animation, was Head of Story on Taiko Studio's Gold Rush, and storyboarded on the live action side for Marvel's The Marvels, and Ms. Marvel on Disney+. Most recently, Noëlle was thrilled to have worked in Story on Brad Bird's upcoming feature, Ray Gunn before joining the intrepid team at Locksmith Animation for her latest adventure: The Lunar Chronicles.
